Star Gazing

When we return to school after half term we will be learning about stars. If you would like why don’t you have a go at some star gazing this weekend. Here is a link to a star gazing activity for all the family to enjoy. The Countryside charity are investigating the effect that light pollution has on how many stars we can see from our houses. Do we see more when the street lights are off?

Count the stars from your window, garden, balcony or doorway. How many can you see?

Submit your your star count here….

Valentines

Thursday – Craft Activity

Happy Thursday everyone!

In the Base today we have been thinking about Valentines Day.

Remember we thought about all the people and things we love….

You might like to make one of these crafts as a present for someone you love!

The tree is a heart shape and the petals on the tree are made with finger prints!

These paper plates (or a piece of card) have a heart shape cut in the middle. The outsides are painted and then pieces of tissue paper are stuck onto clear plastic in the middle. Hang them in the window and they are very pretty in the sunshine.

Or you could make a card……

Get busy and have fun!

And sing this lovely Valentine song….

We watched this one this morning too! Great fun!

Let’s go on a sound walk…
