Some of the children have been finding out what is in the box – we are learning to wait our turn and enjoying a shared activity together.

We have all been working really hard on our maths skills this week. Some of us have been ordering and sorting and some of us have been finding out how many tens and ones there are in a number. Great investigating skills Copper Base.

We are reading this story to accompany our story about the 100 Decker Rocket.

This week we are reading a story about a hundred decker rocket. We will be investigating if it is higher than the hundred decker bus and how different the decks are. We will be reading the story using the visualiser.

We have had a great first week back in the Copper Base. We have welcomed new friends and begun some great learning. We have enjoyed reading The Hundred Decker Bus and designing our own decks for the bus which have been very imaginative. Well Done everyone.

This half term we will be focusing our literacy learning on stories about transport. This weeks story tells us about an extraordinary bus with many different decks to it. We will be using our imaginations to invent our own decks on our own buses.

Thank you for another fantastic year of learning in the Copper Base. We said a sad farewell to our year 4 members and we wish them every success in their new schools. Keep shining brightly!!
