We have been working on our division skills this week.  It has been tricky but we have kept on trying.  We have been using bead strings to help us chunk up the numbers and find the answers to our division problems!

  

Thank you to all who attended our coffee morning this week.  The children enjoyed preparing your drinks and sharing their cakes and biscuits they had made. 

 

We visited the book fair today.  We enjoyed looking at all the books and spending our book token on a book to take home.  We chose some books for the base as well.

  

We have been using the iPads to create stories by recording our voices and using instruments  and body percussion to create different sounds for different settings.

We have also enjoyed making characters out of plasticine.  It has helped us bring our stories alive. 

 

We have been using odd and Even numbers to solve problems this week.  We have been investigating number sequences and whether they end with an odd or even number and sorting lots of different numbers into groups.  We have used numicon to help us find out. 

We have enjoyed giving each other directions using the vocabulary clockwise and anti clockwise!

  

We have been learning to make quarter and half turns and using our left and right when giving directions!
