Hello Copper Base,
We hope you have all had a lovely half term. We are really looking forward to welcoming you back to school tomorrow. There are lots of exciting things planned and lots of fun learning opportunities coming up. Our new topic is going to be all about ‘Magnificent Buildings’ We will be designing and creating lots of buildings and models this half term.

We needed to listen really carefully to the instructions when using the balloons.
We are getting really good at making different sounds with the musical instruments. This week – the xylophone.
We know so much about harvest vehicles. Thank you Joe for sharing your knowledge.
We have been thinking about Harvest this week. We have been tasting fruits and vegetables as well as talking about different foods that we can harvest.
Some of us have been writing a booklet about farm vehicles and vehicles that harvest foods. This is a special interest of some of the Copper Base children. We will publish our books on here next week.
We have been having a think about Autumn this week and all the signs we have spotted. We have been on an Autumn walk, collected autumn things, had fun with leaves and conkers, labelled autumn photos and created autumn pictures.
We have been busy using our maths skills this week.
Counting in 50’s.
Investigating pairs of numbers.
Using the language ‘greater than and less than’
Making sets of numbers.
Counting and ordering.
Counting accurately.
We have all been very busy.
We have had fun building different structures with plastic cups this week and putting our arms through lots of bubbles..
