We enjoyed our last coffee morning of the year this week. It was the first in our new school. We enjoyed serving our guests and showing our work about Charmouth. It will be the final coffee morning for our year 4 children and while we were altogether we all said a fond farewell and good luck to them as well.

Sunny trip to Charmouth
This week we enjoyed a very sunny and enjoyable trip to Charmouth Beach. We went fossil hunting, searched for interesting stones and had great fun in the water!
Great fun had by all!
Today we planted our beans . They look great and will grow tasty beans we hope!

Climbing wall fun!
The year 4 Copper Base children have tried the climbing wall to week! Some of us were a bit worried but we overcame our fears and had a go! Well done everyone!
PE Festival
We had a great time at the Festival at DMS.
We played table cricket and seated volley ball, and more!
Adding, adding and more adding!
Some of us have been learning to add using a number line in lots of different ways this week. We will be using lego next!

We have been using the numicon and the column method to help us add two digit numbers! 
Visit to Poundbury Garden Centre
We visited the garden centre to look at plants and herbs for our garden. We met with Steve who showed us around. He talked to us about what would be good plants to plant and how to plant them. We were allowed to choose some seed packs to take back to school. We have lots to plant and can’t wait to get digging.
