Attention Circle

Good morning – let’s start with an attention circle.

Do some counting today. Count and write the numbers you know up to as far as you can go. Do you notice pattern?

Look back over your key word list….(you will find this down the right hand side of the blog – it is called word list and daily reading) and have a go at reading and writing 5 today. Read the sentence from yesterday.

Have a lovely day.

Position and direction – clockwise and anti-clockwise

Have a goat this position and direction warm up to help you remember your left and right….

Have you got a wind mill at home – try blowing it in a clockwise or anti-clockwise direction.

Here is another great explanation….

Have a go yourself….

Attention Circle

Good Morning everyone,

We hope that you enjoy that lovely sunshine today. Enjoy spending time with your families. Read your stories in the shade outside and practise your key words. Keep researching your mini beast information – maybe you may see some hiding in your garden or out on a walk today?

Enjoy this attention circle and then enjoy the sunshine.

Mini Beast Reading

(you can ask your grown up what that means!)

  1. A caterpillar turns into a butterfly.
  2. A worm lays eggs.
  3. A spider has 6 legs.
  4.  A bee can sting.
  5. Ants like to eat chocolate.
  6.  A snail has one foot.
  7. A click beetle can jump 30 cm high.
  8.  A fly lives for one month.

Well done, great reading!

Keep going with your fact finding and making your information book about minibeasts. We look forward to seeing them

Position and Direction – left and right

Maths Task

Today we are going to think about how move ans the direction we move in. Today it is left and right!!

Look at the presentation below to help you with positional language.

Now let’s focus on learning and remembering your left and right.

Now you can choose from these games to play.

You can also draw round your feet in different colours for left and right. Take your feet for a walk saying ‘left, right, left, right’.

Go for a walk in your gardens on this lovely sunny day.
