Maths Task….

Let’s do some measuring in maths this week. We are going to start with playing some fun games to get us talking about the vocabulary we use with measuring.

Scavenger Hunt

We are going on a scavenger hunt today – look at the sheet below and see if you can find things longer or shorter than a chosen object it does not have to be a pencil. Record by chalking on the ground, on a pieces of paper or on the chart below. Challenge yourself by comparing the objects and putting them in order of size. Some of you can use a ruler to measure.

  Its a wormery!

You need sand, soil and some stones……..and of course worms!

The fun part is digging for worms!

You can make a list of what you need and write some instructions for a friend.
